There was a time – before COVID – when the trend was for stores to stay open on Thanksgiving Day. Then the pandemic-related shutdown led to schedule changes and stores kept their doors closed for the holiday and most have stuck to that schedule ever since.

Most major retailers, including Walmart and Target, will be closed on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 28). Kohl’s and Best Buy are also closed. Some supermarkets will also be closed.

UPS, FedEx – Most services will be unavailable. UPS Express Critical will be available, as will FedEx Custom Critical.
