No. 2 UConn, No. 18 Ole Miss to play for Baha Mar women’s championship title

NASSAU, Bahamas – The second-ranked UConn women’s basketball team (5-0) will take on Ole Miss (4-1) for the Baha Mar Women’s Championship title on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center.

The game will be streamed on FloCollege and will be available on radio on the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97-9). FloCollege is a subscription-based streaming platform.

Redshirt senior Paige Bueckers had 23 points and six assists to lead UConn past Oregon State, 71-52, on Monday. Freshman Sara Strong continued her impressive start to the season, with 13 points, eight rebounds and six steals. The Huskies scored 24 points off turnovers versus the Beavers.

UConn and Ole Miss have met only once before, at the 2018 Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Ole Miss defeated Boston College 92-55 on Monday. Four Rebels are averaging double-digit points, led by KK Deans’ 13.2 points per game. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is in her seventh season at Ole Miss.
