2024 Chargers Cardinals Week 7 Updates

The Chargers and Cardinals are on their way from Arizona Monday night football.

Here are quarter-by-quarter updates from week 7.

Justin Herbert, Rashawn Slater, Bradley Bozeman, Khalil Mack, Denzel Perryman and JK Scott captained the Chargers. The Bolts won the coin toss and elected to postpone. The Bolts started on defense and eventually had to make a few stops on defense. Teair Tart intercepted Kyler Murray, but fumbled the return when Arizona got a new set of downs after the recovery. Khalil Mack then chased Murray around on third down to force a putaway and a Cardinals punt. The Bolts offense started at its own 12-yard line and efficiently moved down the field into Arizona territory. The Chargers made a big pass to Jalen Reagor, but he fumbled the ball out of the back of the end zone for a touchback as Arizona started on its own 20. The Cardinals advanced past midfield, but the Bolts defense held firm and forced another punt. The Bolts started at their own 10 and picked up a pair of first downs. Herbert hit Will Dissly for 18 yards on a screen pass to move the chains again. At the end of the first quarter, the teams remained scoreless.

The Chargers’ drive stalled at the Arizona 41, but that didn’t matter to Cameron Dicker, who tied a team record with a 59-yard field goal to give the Bolts an early 3-0 lead.
