The Powerball jackpot has been won in Georgia! One ticket sold in Georgia matched all six numbers drawn last night to win a jackpot worth $478.2 million. The jackpot has a cash value of $230.6 million.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday, October 23 Powerball drawing were the white balls 2, 15, 27, 29, 39 and the red Powerball 20. The Power Play® multiplier was 2X.

The lucky ticket holder in Georgia will have the choice of an annuity award of $478.2 million or a lump sum of $230.6 million. Both pricing options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments increasing by 5 percent each year.

Participating lotteries remind players to check their tickets in one of nine ways to win. Nationally, there were 616,153 tickets that won prizes in last night’s draw, including two tickets that matched all five white balls to win prizes of $1 million. The $1 million winning tickets were sold in Pennsylvania and Texas.

Last night’s drawing marked the eighth time the Powerball jackpot has been won this year. The Powerball jackpot was previously won in California on August 19, 2024, by a ticket that won a $44.3 million jackpot.
