(FOX40.COM) – Falling temperatures in Northern California have led the National Weather Service to issue a freeze warning.

The warning will last from 10pm Monday to 10am Tuesday as temperatures are expected to reach 36°F to 30°F overnight.

The areas under the warning are the Sacramento Valley, the Motherlode region, the Northeastern Foothills and the northern San Joaquin Valley.

The NWS says these temperatures can be dangerous for people without adequate heating, pets and plants.
