A season-by-season look at Dana Holgorsen’s offense

Earlier this week, the Nebraska Cornhuskers hired former head coach Dana Holgorsen as an offensive consultant. Holgorsen joins the Huskers after head coaching stints with the West Virginia Mountaineers and Houston Cougars.

Holgorsen is known for its air raid. The Air Raid is a spread, non-huddle offense that relies heavily on the passing game. The hope is that his track record of success will have an immediate impact on the Huskers.

Nebraska’s offense has struggled all season. They rank No. 99 in total offense, averaging 354.1 yards per game. The Huskers also rank No. 100 in scoring offense, allowing a paltry 23.6 points per game.

This isn’t the first time the Huskers have talked to Holgorsen. Last season he had discussions with Matt Rhule about joining the coaching staff, but no deal was reached.

Scroll below for a year-by-year breakdown of Dana Holgorsen’s offense, starting in 2007 with his first season as the offensive coordinator at Texas Tech.
