Aaron Boone’s priceless reaction to Giancarlo Stanton’s historic World Series home run

Yankees manager Aaron Boone knew Giancarlo Stanton’s goal was a given as soon as he heard the crack of the bat.

Boone was live on the air and being interviewed by the Fox broadcast when Stanton stood at the plate and sent a screamer 350 feet to right field to give the Yankees a 5-0 lead in the third inning of Game 5 of the World Series in The Bronx.

“Good at bats last night…. BANG!” Boone said mid-sentence as he watched Stanton explode.

The Fox broadcast quickly switched from the split screen to the full view of Stanton’s home run and him trotting around the bases.

Boone watched from the Yankees dugout as Stanton headed home.

The solo blast was Stanton’s seventh home run of the postseason, making it the most by a Yankee in any postseason in franchise history.

Stanton has 18 career home runs, which also ties him with Mickey Mantle for the third-most career playoff home runs in team history.
