The ACC issued a statement regarding the controversial call that ended Friday night’s game between Virginia technology And Miami.

Virginia Tech fans weren’t the only ones who disagreed with the referee’s decision in Miami’s favor. ESPN analyst Andre Ware opined that the call should not have been overturned and sympathized with the Hokies faithful.

“There’s a lot of talk about that because I just don’t know where you see it on the replay to reverse the call on the field,” Ware said. “And if it was called incomplete, look at it this way. I just thought that the ruling – no matter what was shouted on the field – should stand. That’s difficult.”
