Aces vs. Fever WNBA Prediction, Odds, and Key Players for Wednesday, September 11 (How

The WNBA game of the evening on Wednesday is between the Las Vegas Aces and the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Las Vegas is in fourth place in the standings, but heads into the game with a one-game lead over the Seattle Storm.

Meanwhile, the Fever are looking to secure sixth place as they hold a two-game lead over the Phoenix Mercury with just four games left.

Caitlin Clark has been in top form since the Olympic break, averaging 24.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game while making 45.9 percent of her shots and 38.8 percent of her three-pointers.

Can she, as an underdog at home, lead the Fever to a surprise victory?

Let’s take a look at the odds, the key players to watch and my pick for Wednesday night’s showdown.

Fever Injury Report

Las Vegas Aces

A’ja Wilson: Wilson missed the Aces’ loss to the New York Liberty last weekend, but she’s expected to return for this game. Bookmakers seem to think she’ll play her usual role, with a two-point lead over the Aces. Wilson is the favorite for MVP, averaging 27.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

Indiana fever

Caitlin Clark: Clark, the favorite to win Rookie of the Year, is now averaging 19.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game while connecting on 42.3 percent of his shots and 34.7 percent from his 3-point line. Since the Olympic break, Clark has had 20 or more points and 10 or more assists in five games.

Bettors who bet on OVER on Wednesday will have their money’s worth at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, even if Wilson ultimately opts out.

Since the Olympic break, the Fever have ranked No. 1 in the league in offensive rating, and these teams rank No. 2 and No. 3 in that metric for the season.

If Wilson plays her usual role, it’s a huge boost for this Las Vegas offense. But if she doesn’t, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young are more than capable of putting together high-scoring games.

Indiana has gone OVER in 24 of 36 games, but I prefer to focus on the total, as the Fever have failed to win five straight times, while the Aces have managed to win five straight times.

I expect the two playoff teams to score a lot of goals.
