Actor Song Jae-lim, who appeared in the TV series “Moon Embracing the Sun,” was found dead at his home on Tuesday, police said. He was 39.

According to police, Song was found dead at his home in Seoul’s Seongdong district around 12:30 p.m. by a friend who had plans to have lunch with the actor.

There were no obvious signs of foul play and a note was found at the scene, they said.

The actor’s family told Yonhap News Agency that they wanted to hold a small funeral involving only family members, and did not provide a cause of death.

Song made his debut in the 2009 film ‘Actresses’ and became popular for his role as a warrior loyal to the king in the 2012 drama ‘Moon Embracing the Sun’.

He later became even more popular when he appeared on the reality show ‘We Got Married’ in 2014. (Yonhap)
