At the D23 Expo that concluded yesterday, Pixar announced that its upcoming original title Elio has added two more directors in addition to the originally announced director Adrian Molina: Madeline Sharafian and Domee Shi.

Although Molina is still listed as director, this is a Brenda Chapman/Brave-type situation where the credits will be in name only. Pixar’s chief creative officer Pete Docter confirmed The Wrap that Molina was no longer involved with the film and “has started a priority project that we don’t want to talk about yet.”
