Upcoming Kia SUV – Syros Teased!

We have already spotted the upcoming Kia Syros tests several times. The spy shots and the new teasers have already confirmed the new, rugged design of the model. However, the latest teaser shows that the Syros will be the third SUV in its segment with a panoramic sliding roof. Currently, the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO are the only models that offer this advanced feature.

What else?

The Kia Syros gets a boxy design and gets a new tiger nose grille on the outside, vertical LED headlamp and DRL unit and tail lamp and a connected brake light bar at the rear. Speaking of the interior, the new Syros gets a new dashboard with curved screens for infotainment and instrument cluster. The list of features of the new model includes leatherette upholstery, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, dual-zone air conditioning, ventilated seats and more in the package. Speaking of safety features, expect 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, EPS and TPMS as standard. Moreover, the new model can get hold of Level 2 ADAS for greater safety.

Powertrain and price

The upcoming Kia Syros will come with ICE and EV powertrain options. The new model gets a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 118 hp and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 113 hp. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed manual, a seven-speed DCT and a six-speed AT.

Currently, the brand has not announced the launch date for the new model, expect the new model to be launched before the new year. As for the price, the Kia Syros is expected to be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 21 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
