Week 13 turned into a whirlwind and the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies got caught in the Auburn storm. They ultimately lost 43-41 after four overtimes, falling to 5-2 in SEC play, but luckily they still have a chance to play for a conference title if they can get past No. 3 Texas next weekend.

Right now, the way the Aggies have played in recent weeks looks dismal. With the injuries and the new system on both sides of the ball, sometimes you need your guys to make plays. Usually the blame lies with the coaching, but tonight their mental mistakes were too much to overcome. The secondary had a tough night with both Will Lee III and Jaydon Hill leaving early, leaving them playing less experienced, and it showed all night.

There was a lot of meat left on the bone for the offense, and the film from this game will pay off for Marcel Reed in the future. But when push came to shove, they missed chance after chance to put the Tigers ahead near the end of the game, and they couldn’t. It was a classic game that showed where the Aggies still have holes to clean up over the next seven days, and Mike Elko is now gearing up for the biggest game at Kyle Field in decades.
