Alabama LB Keanu Koht plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal

Alabama LB Keanu Koht has submitted a request to access the NCAA Transfer Portal.

On3’s Pete Nakos has confirmed his intentions to enter the portal with his agents at A&P Sports.

Koht has spent the last four seasons with the Crimson Tide. He redshirted as a freshman after not playing in a single game, but has played on 14 defense and special teams teams over the past three seasons, half of which came this fall.

In that collegiate career, while in Tuscaloosa, Koht posted nine tackles and a half-sack. Five of the tackles and the sack came during his games this season at ‘Bama.

Born in Vero Beach, Florida, Koht was a four-star prospect in high school. He was the No. 39 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average using all four major recruiting media companies. He was also rated as the No. 4 LB and the No. 10 player from out of his state.

However, On3 ranked Koht as a five-star in his class. He was the No. 16 overall prospect as the No. 1 LB and No. 4 player in Florida in ’21.

Regardless, Koht was still one of the top players in the No. 1 class for Alabama in 2021.

Koht will now be one of the first plays to leave the program and move to a new program near the end of this season.
