Amal Clooney caused a sensation in Venice!

The 46-year-old human rights lawyer arrived at a private party hosted by Cartier at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on Saturday, August 31, wearing a mermaid-inspired Bach Mai dress, inspired by the final gown from the designer’s Resort 2023 collection, dubbed the “Lightening Storm” dress.

The strapless, floor-length garment featured shiny fringe at the hem and an ombré effect that started at the nappa laminate bodice and flowed into an aqua skirt with shades of purple, including wisteria, along the hem.

Amal wore her hair loose and styled with subtle waves and carried a small bag in her hand.

She arrived in Venice on Friday, August 30, with her husband, George Clooney, wearing an outfit with a similarly summery vibe: a bright yellow pleated mini dress with a curled hem.

She completed the look with a wide-brimmed straw hat to match her sandals and carried a beige bag. She also wore black sunglasses.

Next to her, George, 63, wore a dark polo shirt, white pants and a brown belt. In the air star completed his look with black aviator sunglasses.

The couple are at the prestigious festival for the premiere of George’s film Wolvesscheduled for Sunday, September 1. Brad Pitt also stars in this thriller.

Earlier in August, George and Amal spent time in Lake Como, where the actor has owned a lakeside villa for decades. The couple enjoyed a boat trip with friends before heading to the country for dinner at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
