    Andrew Peasley and Adrian Martinez will not make the 53-player roster

    For three weeks of NFL preseason, quarterbacks Andrew Peasley and Adrian Martinez gave it their all. Yet, New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas could not confirm that their talents are essential to the 2024 mission.

    Destiny only came to fruition for Martinez and Peasley yesterday. Veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor was always destined to secure the No. 2 spot on the quarterback depth chart, and rookie Jordan Travis was only sidelined due to injury.

    The Jets simply couldn’t afford to let such a huge talent fall on defense, so Peasley and Martinez took the blame for the fall.

    Peasley and Martinez finished the 2024 preseason with 1 touchdown pass and 80 combined pass attempts.
