Angelina Jolie had the best plus one at this year’s Governors Awards.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosted the 15th annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17 and the A-List star arrived in a vintage dress and platform sandals and arm in arm with her son, Knox Jolie. -Pitt.

The 16-year-old turned heads alongside his famous mother as he was almost her height and debuted a buzz-worthy hairstyle. For the Governors Awards, Knox leaned into sophistication in a tuxedo with a pair of patent leather round-toe dress shoes. The tuxedo that only added to how different he looked compared to the last time he walked the red carpet with his mother three years ago.

Jolie wore a beautiful vintage gold and cream dress with an empire waist and a pair of open-toe sandals, which were overshadowed by the long skirt. Still, the shoe poked through the sheer layer of the dress, revealing a brown platform and her polished toes. She wore her hair in a soft, half up, half down look and adorned her neck with a chunky diamond necklace and paired it with dangling silver earrings.

The vintage dress was purchased at The Kit Vintage and the boutique took to Instagram on Sunday to rave about the moment, saying it’s one of many pieces purchased from them. “Tonight is a special moment for me to celebrate seeing Angelina Jolie arm in arm with her son, Knox Jolie Pitt, at the 2024 Governor’s Award. She is wearing a vintage dress without a label, bought from TKV,” the caption read.

“What makes this moment most meaningful for us is that we know what a true vintage lover, fan and supporter she is. Every time Angelina shops with us, she comes in alone. She is very present, involved and chooses each piece. She’s never had a stylist hold her hand or FaceTime with a friend. It’s her surrounding herself with vintage, inspired by what she wears next.”

The last time Knox was spotted at a public event was when he supported one of his mother’s films and attended the UK Gala screening of Marvel Studios’ ‘Eternals’ in October 2021 with his siblings Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne attended in London, England. and Maddox.

Recently, Jolie promoted her upcoming film ‘Maria’ and attended a screening of the film in New York City with some of her children, but Knox was not present. Her daughter Zahara arrived at the event wearing Tom Ford heels, while her brothers Pax and Maddox arrived in suits.

Angelina shares six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Knox was born in Nice, France, in July 2008, with his twin brother Vivienne. The former couple famously got together in 2004 and married in 2014. Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 after two years of marriage.

The Governors Awards is an annual event celebrating awards given by the Academy’s Board of Directors: the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and the Honorary Award. The recipients are announced and honored each summer at a dinner gala. Highlights from the event will be included in that year’s Academy Awards show.
