Anthony Davis and LeBron James have started the season strong despite a 109-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, keeping fans excited about head coach JJ Redick’s team.

Davis was brilliant despite the loss, with 29 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Rui Hachimura also had a strong game, finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds and two assists.

Despite James’ struggles — he shot 3-for-14 from the field with just 11 points — he contributed to the playmaking with eight assists and five rebounds.

On the other side of the ball, Kevin Durant finished with 30 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while Devin Booker recorded 33 points, three rebounds and two assists.

Davis is tied for the highest points per game this season with 34, while averaging 11.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

While the Lakers earned their first loss of the season on Monday night, the team has ignited a new flame among purple and gold fans.
