Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins scores a touchdown past Green Bay Packers cornerback Eric Stokes.

After the Raiders traded Davante Adams to the Jets, he played right away. So it’s reasonable to expect the possibility that Chief’s newest addition at receiver could be ready to go this Sunday against the Raiders.

DeAndre Hopkins may not be the elite receiver he once was, but he was a 1,000-yard receiver last season when the Titans had decent QB play and now he joins the ranks of the best QB in football with Patrick Mahomes, so he immediately becomes a threat. the Raiders and all of the Chiefs’ other opponents will have to answer for the remainder of the season.

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce spoke Wednesday about what he expects from Hopkins and the Chiefs Sunday.

‘You actually have to look at it twofold, right? We know they’re going to have a few plays for him, get him in there and learn the playbook. But to be fair, no disrespect to Hopkins, this offense is still ongoing. through 87 (Travis Kelce) and (Xavier) Worthy vertically through the field. So I’m sure Andy (Reid) just as he has done in recent years when he’s traded for certain players, he finds that role on that six or whatever. many plays he has for that gentleman.

“You’re talking about a proven vet who’s been in multiple systems. It won’t take long for him to learn, just to get him up to speed. I don’t know exactly what we’re going to get out of that, but we know what their primary focus is us.”

It’s true, the biggest threats among the receivers are Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy. Kelce is still riding a streak of nine consecutive Pro Bowls, while Worthy is the team’s new speed burner. But Pierce knows it only takes a handful of plays for Hopkins to hurt the Raiders. And his addition gives them one more thing on an already long list of things to worry about.
