Raiders coach Antonio Pierce criticized his players’ efforts after today’s loss to the Panthers, saying some players who didn’t try hard enough will be fired.

“I think there were certainly a number of individuals who made business decisions, and we will make business decisions going forward,” Pierce said.

When asked what positives he could take from the match, Pierce replied, “Nothing.”

The Raiders were favored to beat the Panthers, but Carolina jumped out to an early lead, never trailed and dominated most of the game. Pierce said he couldn’t say much about the game other than the Panthers outscored them in every phase.

“Give them credit,” Pierce said. “They put their best foot forward. We didn’t.”
