What can you expect from Arcane season 2?

Christian Linke and Alex Yee return as co-creators for the second and final season of the series. The new season features returning characters Vi, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, and Jinx, played by Ella Summer Purnell. The new season will also introduce more characters and with them a whole new cast of voice actors, including Katie Leung, Kevin Alejandro, Jason Spisak, Toks Olagundoye and more.

In Act 2 we see tensions between Piltover and the Undercity of Zaun rise, pushing both sides towards war. Meanwhile, Jinx tries to cope with her grief and struggles with her mental health.

The political situation in Zaun is also spiraling out of control due to long-standing inequality, exploitation and mismanagement. On the other hand, Jayce is under pressure from Piltover’s Council to use Hextech that could cause mass destruction in the world of Arcane.

We may also get a tease for future storylines, as Christian Linke, one of the creators of Arcane, has stated that this is “just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and our collaboration with a beautiful animation studio in Paris called Fortiche.”

Their team is already working on the upcoming projects across TV and films and although they are still in the early stages, we can expect an announcement in late 2024.
