Are there more Democrats or Republicans in South Jersey? Dems lead

Total voter registrations in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland and Gloucester counties have increased ahead of the 2024 election.

As of November 1, more than 1.09 million residents were registered in these four provinces, an increase of 27,420 since January. About 70% of registered voters live in Burlington and Camden counties.

It remains to be seen whether these new voters will produce surprising results in the 2024 elections.

Democrats still have more registered members than independents and Republicans in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties. Independent voters are the most numerous in Cumberland County, followed by Democrats and then Republicans.

Registration numbers rose across the board in these counties from January through November, except among Democrats in Cumberland and Gloucester counties. In both counties, Democratic registrations have fallen since the start of the year.

Burlington County Voter Registration Numbers

In Burlington County, registration increases since January were highest among independents, then Republicans, then Democrats.

Democrats still lead in registered voters, followed by Independents and then Republicans.

As of Nov. 1, Burlington County had 372,599 registered voters. Of those, 143,271 were Democrats, 127,588 were independents and 97,496 were Republicans.

Camden County Voter Registration Numbers

In Camden County, the increase in registrations since January was highest among independents, then Republicans, then Democrats.

Democrats still lead in registered voters, followed by independents and then Republicans.

As of Nov. 1, Camden County had 396,833 registered voters. Of those, 182,651 were Democrats, 139,928 were independents and 68,902 were Republicans.

Cumberland County Voter Registration Numbers

In Cumberland County, the increase in registrations since January was highest among independents, followed by Republicans. Democratic registrations fell by 214.

Independents lead the way in registration, followed by Democrats and then Republicans.

As of Nov. 1, Cumberland County had 98,113 registered voters. Of those, 39,532 were independents, 31,923 were Democrats and 24,886 were Republicans.

Voter Registration Numbers in Gloucester County

In Gloucester County, the increase in registrations since January was highest among independents, then Republicans. Democratic registrations fell by 707.

Democrats still lead in registrations, followed by independents and then Republicans.

As of November 1, Gloucester County had 226,139 registered voters. Of those, 83,696 were Democrats, 75,835 were Independents and 63,728 were Republicans.
