Ariana Grande apologizes to Elvira for her rude encounter

Ariana Grande has apologized to Elvira after the horror host shared an encounter where the pop singer was allegedly disrespectful to her.

During a Q&A at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California, Elvira was asked about her darkest celebrity encounter. She mentioned Grande and recalled attending one of her events and bringing 20 guests and asking for 21 tickets. Grande came backstage and asked if her friends and family could join her, and Elvira claimed she took a photo with all of them except Grande, who turned her down.

“Then I say to her, ‘Can we take a picture together?’ and she says, ‘No, I don’t really do that,'” Elvira said. In a clip from the Q&A that went viral on TikTok, Elvira went on to say that Grande left before her show even started and her family stayed.

Elvira posted screenshots of an article summarizing the encounter on her Instagram, prompting Grande to apologize and explain that the incident happened seven years ago and that she left early because she was suffering from an anxiety attack.

“I am so disheartened to see this,” Grande wrote. “I actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because I had an anxiety attack and, as I recall, left before the rest of my family (this was about 7 years ago and at the time I was really not that good at being in public crowds or loud places)…but if I misremember this moment, I sincerely apologize for offending you so much. thank you for being so kind to my mom, she told me how kind you were (she may have different feelings about that now, but I’ll talk to her…obviously we all have our days!) and always love to steer. ❤ you will always be our Halloween queen!”

Grande is currently gearing up to star in the big-screen adaptation of ‘Wicked,’ set to hit theaters on November 22.
