Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

The Broncos running back recorded his eighth 100-yard rushing game in eight games and keeps pace with a chance to break the NCAA single-season rushing record set by former legendary running back Barry Sanders, set at Oklahoma State in 1988.

Listed as 6-foot-1 by Boise State, Jeanty rushed 31 times for 149 yards and two touchdowns while adding two receptions for 31 yards in the Broncos’ 56-24 victory over San Diego State to boost the Broncos’ hopes the Bronco in a Mountain West Conference. title alive. Boise State was ranked No. 14 in the Week 11 American LBM Coaches Poll, giving it the inside track to reaching the 12-team College Football Playoff (in which it was ranked No. 12 in the first set of rankings).

If he can win the Heisman Trophy Award this season, Jeanty would become the first running back since Alabama’s Derrick Henry to win the prestigious honor in 2015. A record-setting season could be exactly what he needs to achieve that.

Jeanty has the most rushing yards in college football this season, leading second-ranked Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson (1,279 yards) by nearly 300 yards. His 20 rushing touchdowns also surpass Johnson (19 touchdowns), but Jeanty has done that in one fewer game.

Here’s a look at Jeanty’s stats this season, including a game-by-game log and whether he’s on pace to beat Sanders’ record ahead of Boise State’s Week 11 matchup against Nevada on Saturday night (8 p.m. ET):
