    ASU football expectations rise after 3-0 start and win over Texas State

    The expectations for the 2024 Arizona State football team are changing.

    In a good way.

    According to ESPN’s Matchup Predictor, which analyzes data showing each team’s chances of winning each game, ASU football was favored to win three games before the season.

    After a thrilling 31-28 win over Texas State on Thursday night, the Sun Devils are now 3-0 on the season, having already lived up to that expectation.

    But success also brought higher expectations.

    According to ESPN analysis, Kenny Dillingham’s team is now favored to win seven games this season, more than double what the team was projected to win before the season.

    It also predicts Arizona State will start the season 5-0.
