The Atlanta Braves will take on the San Diego Padres in game one of the Wild Card Series. Living up to the ‘Wild’ moniker, the Braves are forced to make a last-minute decision on who should take the mound to start the game as Sale sits out and plays three games in a short period of time.

AJ Smith-Shawver will make only his second appearance this season for the club at the MLB level and start the game. It’s safe to say there will be a lot of pressure on the young pitcher, as well as a lot of pressure on the offense to perform.
