The No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers have a big week ahead of them, starting Wednesday with a matchup against the No. 16 Minnesota Golden Gophers as they look to continue their recent five-game winning streak against a rival opponent.

Coming off a 3-1 win over the UCLA Bruins, the Badgers, who are 20-5, have been on a roll lately as they had defeated four straight opponents prior to Saturday as part of their five-game win streak.

Wisconsin is starting to peak at the right time, as they have won 14 of their last 15 games, including a sweep over the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions, as well as four other ranked wins.

Interestingly enough, their pre-hot streak loss to the Gophers came in a 3-2 thriller on the road, marking a rough point in the Badgers season.

Now the tides have turned, as Wisconsin has turned things upside down lately. But it won’t be easy as they face a Minnesota team that is 17-9 and beat the Michigan Wolverines 3-1 on Sunday after losing three straight games.

The Gophers haven’t fared well against ranked opponents this year, but they do have the advantage over the Badgers in head-to-head competition, which Wisconsin will look to take back on Wednesday.
