Barcelona enter the November international break on the back of a 1-0 La Liga defeat at Real Sociedad.

La Blaugrana landed in San Sebastian on the back of a seven-match winning streak in all competitions as they appeared to ease into the title race.

However, their momentum was disrupted early on when Robert Lewandowski saw a goal disallowed by VAR and Sheraldo Becker put the hosts ahead.

Mikel Oyarzabal missed a huge chance to double the home side’s lead before the break, but the Barcelona rally never materialized.

Oyarzabal missed another opening in the second period, but Barcelona’s performance was flat in the closing stages and the hosts were good value for a deserved win.

The defeat at the Estadio Anoeta ends Barcelona’s four-match winning run at La Real, leaving the title gap at six points, while second-placed Real Madrid play one game less.
