Nicole Eggert shared an update on her health after being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer last year.

“I’m good,” said the Bay watch alum told People premiere of the new docuseries on Monday, August 26 After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun“I’m kind of in a gray area and I’ve finished my treatment, I’m waiting for more imaging and hopefully maybe surgery.”

Nicole explained that she “has a long wait” for the next steps in her cancer journey.

“But the gray area is the hardest because you don’t know what’s going on and you just, when I did the treatment, I felt like I was doing something productive,” said the Charles is the boss said the actress.

She said she meditated to calm her mind while waiting and spent time with her daughters Dilyn and Keegan.

“I mean, they kept me on my toes,” Nicole told her children’s outlet. “My 13-year-old didn’t give me any special treatment. It was still like, ‘Mom, give me this, let’s go here, let’s do that.'”

Nicole received her cancer diagnosis in December 2023 and went public with the news a month later. She explained that she discovered a lump in her breast during a self-exam and gained 25 pounds, which led her to see doctors.

“It really hit and hurt,” she said People. “I went straight to my GP and she told me to get it checked out straight away. But the problem was I just couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was booked up. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done.”

The Holiday switch The actress said her “biggest fear” was the thought of her children not having a mother.

“(Dilyn is) an adult, but I have a 12-year-old at home that I’m the sole caregiver for. I have no family. I have nothing,” she said. “I realized right away that I can’t just give in to this. This is something I have to get through. This is something I have to fight. She needs me more than anyone.”

In March 2024, Nicole shared a video on Instagram showing herself shaving her head while the Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right” played in the background.

“Maybe healing isn’t so much about changing ourselves, but about allowing ourselves to be who we are – Madeleine Eames,” the video’s caption reads.

Nicole is a producer at After Baywatch: Moment in the Sunin which she talks about how working on the project helped her through this difficult time in her life.

“Having a young daughter and having this project has been a great motivation for me to not just sit and think about my health and well-being. It gives me a purpose,” she said. “It keeps me motivated every day. I think the timing of life always happens for a reason. It’s been a great distraction and my daughters have kept me on my toes.”

After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun premieres on Hulu on August 28.
