Behati Prinsloo talks about how her family helps her stay grounded

Girls like it Behati Prinsloo know that family is the key to staying balanced before a big night on the catwalk.

Even more so, her husband Adam Levine and their three children – Dusty Rose7, Gio Grace5 and 20-month-old son, whose name she has yet to reveal publicly, help her stay true to who she is off the runway.

“I think that comes with age,” Behati told E! News in an exclusive interview ahead of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 15. “I think that comes with the realization that this is a job and it doesn’t define your entire life.”

Although life as a model can feel all-consuming, having her family as an important source of support has helped her find the right balance.

“It’s tough and I think sometimes you get lost in it,” Behati, 36, added. “I think it’s about the girls realizing that this is a job. We have our children, our spouses, our boyfriends out there. You kind of remind yourself to stay grounded out there and just enjoy it and have fun.

And Adam has made sure he takes on the role before his wife returns to the Victoria Secret Fashion show after ten years. The Chestnut brown 5 frontman appeared alongside his wife in an Instagram video posted by trainer, Austin Pohlenwhere he accompanied her through a series of training sessions in preparation for the show.

Behati’s return to the Victoria’s Secret runway on October 15 comes as the brand holds its first show in six years after canceling the 2019 event.

“We’re feeling good, we’re excited, we’re nervous — good nerves,” she said of the show’s return. “I’m just excited to see all my friends. It was fun.”

Moreover, she is in good company as she returns with other experienced angels Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, Jasmine Tookes And Candice Swanepoel.

“I’m staying in a hotel with Candice,” Behati said. “I saw her at six in the morning and we had coffee.”

And in the years she worked with her fellow angels, Behati learned some valuable lessons from her.

“Adriana has always been on time,” she told E! News. ‘I’ll take that from her, never be late. Be nice to everyone, be yourself, speak up.”
