Bengals vs. Ravens score, live updates: Thursday Night Football heads to Baltimore for the AFC North showdown

Just over a month ago, the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals played one of the best games of this NFL season. The Ravens’ 41-38 victory in Cincinnati put Baltimore at 3-2, and the league’s top offense was in high gear. Lamar Jackson threw for 348 yards and four touchdown passes, while the ground game rolled up 175 yards. Not to be outdone, Joe Burrow was phenomenal in the loss, throwing for 392 yards and five scores, in addition to one interception. Bengals kicker Evan McPherson missed a 53-yard field goal in overtime, allowing the Ravens to win on a Justin Tucker field goal.

That loss dropped Cincinnati to 1-4 on the season, but as they have done several times in recent years, the Bengals have bounced back and enter tonight’s game at 4-5, needing a win to climb back to the AFC play-off. image. Baltimore comes in at 6-3 and needs a win to keep pace with the Steelers at the top of the AFC North.

  • Bengals can’t convert the 4th down

    Cincinnati goes for it on 4th-and-3 from the Baltimore 41-yard line. Joe Burrow can’t find anyone open and throws deep but incomplete to Jermaine Burton.

    The Ravens take over the downs.

  • A holding penalty pushes the Bengals back to 1st and 20th

    On the 1st and 10 of their 37, the Bengals’ Ted Karras is called for holding. Cincinnati gets those yards back three plays later, with Joe Burrow completing three consecutive passes and getting the first down seven yards out to Ja’Marr Chase.

  • Bengals are taken down first on a pass interference call

    Cincinnati got a third-and-10 from their 10, but Baltimore’s Nate Wiggins is called for pass interference and picks off Ja’Marr Chase on a crossing route. First down at the 23 yard line.

  • Ravens go 3-and-out

    On the Ravens’ first offensive play, Lamar Jackson throws deep to Rashod Bateman, who is triple covered. The pass would have been a gain of 40 yards, but is incomplete.

    Derrick Henry runs for a six-yard gain on second down, followed by Justice Hill gaining no yards on third down. Baltimore needs to punt.

    A 54-yard kick by Jordan Stout gives Cincinnati the ball on their 10-yard line.

  • TOUCHDOWN, Bengal

    After a holding penalty gives Cincinnati first and goal at the 1-yard line, Chase Brown scores a touchdown. With the extra point, the Bengals take a 7-0 lead.

    Brown’s TD rush ended a 12-play, 70-yard drive.

  • Bengals go for it on 4th and goal from the 2 yard line

    Joe Burrow threw into the end zone just before being tackled to Chase Brown, but the pass was incomplete. However, Brandon Stephens was called for holding Ja’Marr Chase. First down

  • Ravens lose replay challenge, timeout on Mike Gesicki catch

    The Bengals’ Mike Gesicki makes a three-yard catch to the left of the Ravens’ 2-yard line. John Harbaugh challenged the play, saying Gesicki was not in control of the ball when he fell out of bounds.

    Replay showed Gesicki made the catch and upheld the call, causing Baltimore to lose a timeout. Was the challenge worth three yards?

  • Burrow to Chase for 26 yards

    After finding an open spot in the pocket, Joe Burrow hits Ja’Marr Chase for a 26-yard gain on 3rd and 9 to the Baltimore 30-yard line.

  • Bengals get the ball first

    The Ravens won the toss and postponed. The Bengals will take the field first on offense.

  • Ravens beat Bengals in Week 5, 41-38, in OT

    While AFC North rivals the Ravens and Bengals play twice per season. The two teams met previously in Week 5, with Baltimore winning in overtime, 41-38.

    The Ravens forced OT on a 56-yard Justin Tucker field goal with 1:40 remaining in regulation.

    Lamar Jackson threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns and completed 26 of 42 passes. He also rushed for 55 yards on 12 carries. Derrick Henry ran for 92 yards and scored on 15 rushes. And Zay Flowers had 7 catches for 111 yards.

    Joe Burrow passed for 392 yards and five touchdowns on 30-for-39 passing. Ja’Marr Chase had 10 receptions for 193 yards and two touchdowns. Tee Higgins caught 9 passes for 93 yards and a score.

  • Bengals WR Jermaine Burton does pregame work

    Before being placed on the inactive list for Week 9, the Bengals reportedly planned to make Jermaine Burton a big part of the game plan. Will we see that tonight?

    According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, Burton also worked with the return specialists during the pregame.

  • Lamar Jackson is Richard Sherman’s midseason MVP pick

    The Amazon Prime NFL studio crew named their MVP pick midseason. One of the quartet picked a quarterback we’ll see tonight, Lamar Jackson of the Ravens.

  • Ravens activate RB Keaton Mitchell from PUP list

    The Ravens added some depth for Thursday’s game, activating Keaton Mitchell from the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list earlier in the day.

    Mitchell, 22, has not played since tearing his ACL in Week 15 against the Jaguars last season.

    Only Derrick Henry and Justice Hill have carried the ball for Baltimore this season. With the short week, Mitchell should get some work in to give those two a break.

  • Bengals and Ravens inactives, Week 10 TNF

    Tee Higgins is once again inactive for the Bengals due to a quad injury. However, Jermaine Burton is active after the team made him inactive in Week 9 following a no-show during last Saturday’s walkthrough.

    For the Ravens, tight end Isaiah is likely inactive with a hamstring injury. Cornerback Tre’Davious White is also inactive after Baltimore acquired him from the Rams this week.
