A blockbuster sequel that was dubbed the ‘best movie of 2024’ has hit Netflix, leaving fans really excited.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die – also known as Bad Boys 4 – hit the big screen this summer, with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprising their roles as iconic Miami Police Department detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively.

They expertly led a star-studded cast alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Tiffany Haddish and Ioan Gruffudd, while Adil & Bilall served as directors.

It received critical acclaim from impressed fans and currently boasts a massive 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 65% critic rating.

Netflix’s US bosses have confirmed that the film has now been released on the platform, with the first three films also available to watch.

A tweet from the official account read: ‘Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah did not come to play. Bad Boys: Ride or Die is now on Netflix!’

However, Bad Boys: Ride or Die appears to be only on the US version, with the rest of the franchise currently still available to stream in the UK.

Fans couldn’t help but rave about the sequel on Rotten Tomatoes, with Sharetta K raving, “Best movie I’ve seen in years!!!!!!!!”

Ryan R wrote: “Best movie of 2024. It’s very funny, very serious in most parts, the action is great, I love the family situations.”

An anonymous reviewer agreed: ‘You can NOT go wrong with a bad boys moviemmm!!!!! This will probably be THE movie for a few years until maybe they make a new one.

‘There are no buts or nos! It’s a must watch (sic).”

“Old school Bad Boys,” shared Tudor C. “This movie gave me Bad Boys 2 vibes. Yes, please, more of this. We need more entertaining films like this and less of what has happened in the last four years.”

As Joel G added, “This movie had humor, emotion and non-stop action. It was a really good movie. A film I would like to see again.’

The original Bad Boys was released in 1995 and the second film followed in 2003, while the third part – controversially titled Bad Boys For Life – was released in 2020.

The fourth film premiered this summer and picked up right where the last one left off, with Mike exposing his secret son while he and Marcus also got to the bottom of a conspiracy surrounding Captain Howard’s death.

The official synopsis reads: “This summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your-seat action and outrageous comedy, but this time with a twist: Miami’s best are now on the run.”

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is now available to stream on Netflix.
