USC is coming off a pivotal, pivotal season under a new defensive coaching staff in the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska is also coming off a very pivotal season under Matt Rhule. The Huskers have yet to make a bowl game this decade. That drought needs to end this season, and realistically, the Huskers need to show not just that they’re a bowl team, but a good one. Some bowl teams are 6-6. That’s not good. That’s average. Nebraska needs to get back to being above average.

Cornhuskers Wire reports on Nebraska. Here’s a note on the Huskers’ quarterback situation:

Nebraska football offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield unveiled a strategy Tuesday afternoon, indicating that quarterback Heinrich Haarberg would get time on the field alongside quarterback Dylan Raiola.

“Haarberg was the team’s starting quarterback for much of the 2023 season, throwing for 967 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. The junior sports a solid 6-foot-5, 225-pound frame. The Nebraska native also saw some time at wide receiver last season, playing a pair of snaps in the opener against Minnesota.”
