Blazers Knock Off Clippers, 106-105

The Portland Trail Blazers brought their “A Game” on Wednesday night, defeating the LA Clippers in a tight game, 106-105. The cold-shooting Clippers couldn’t hold off the Blazers’ energy on both ends all night.

Player of the game: Anfernee Simons. He kept the Blazers chugging in the fourth as the Clippers struggled to score. He finished with 25 points on 10-24 shooting.

Stat of the night: Three-point shooting. After some tough shooting nights, the Blazers shot 42.4%, compared to the Clippers’ 36.1%. Since the teams made a similar number of attempts, it made all the difference.

Key moment: Deandre Ayton’s offensive rebound. On a missed Simons three, Ayton found the backboard and fought his way to score in the paint. That put the Blazers with a final margin of 1.

The Blazers head home for the day off, followed by a game with Oklahoma City on Friday night. In the meantime, stay tuned for more analysis of tonight’s match from Conor Bergin.
