Bo Nix praises fans for taking over the Raiders stadium

It didn’t feel like a road game when the Denver Broncos faced the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium.

Denver fans could be heard chanting “Let’s go Broncos!” during the game, and the stadium was covered in orange in week 12. Many of the traveling Denver fans headed to the lower bowl near the end of the game.

Following a 29-19 win, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was full of praise for the team’s fans.

“(There was) a lot of orange in that stadium,” Nix said at his post-match press conference. “If you can go out on the road and you see a lot of your fans, it’s almost half, they’re cheering, it almost becomes a neutral environment. Fine. If you can take that chaos, the noise and the atmosphere, if you can alleviate that a little bit from your team, that’s really important. If we play well, if we have explosives or turnovers, it almost turns into a mini home game.

“But it’s good to see that we have a great fan base. Nice to see they are traveling well. It’s good to see that even though we’ve had some setbacks throughout the season, they’re still right behind us. Now we’re going on a two-game winning streak. It’s crazy how things can turn around. The audience and the atmosphere are a great advantage, as they have shown and proven. We will always need that. I’m glad I work for an organization that has that.”

Nix and Co. now return home to host the Cleveland Browns Monday night football in Week 13. Fans in Denver will give the Broncos an even warmer welcome next week when they play at Empower Field at Mile High.
