Broncos Bo Nix development will take time

The Broncos’ hopes of a flying start to the 2024 season were dashed on Sunday in Seattle. The Denver Broncos lost (again) to the Seahawks, 26-20. While the defense was exceptionally strong, it was the offensive woes that ultimately sealed the Broncos’ fate.

Nix completed 61.9 percent of his passes, completing 26 of 42 attempts for 138 yards and 2 interceptions, earning a QB rating of 47.5. Nix scored one rushing touchdown.

The Bo Nix “rubber” has officially met the NFL “road.” It was nice to think that Nix’s extensive college career would better prepare him for an NFL start. Unfortunately, the NFL is a different sport than college football, and that was clearly on display in Sunday’s game.

It’s not a fun process to get young quarterbacks acclimated to their NFL future. Fortunately, the Broncos are already well on their way with Bo. With his first touchdown and first road start already off the list, Nix will enter Sunday’s game looking to score his first passing touchdown, first home start, and who knows… maybe even his first win.

The future in Broncos Country looks brighter than ever, but it will take patience as we watch Nix evolve from junior QB to (hopefully) capable veteran. With his first game under his belt, there is no reason to lose faith in what the future holds with Bo Nix. It will be a year of growth, but it is important to remember that the Broncos are working toward something. It is a process, and Broncos Country is in on it. Buckle up Broncos Country, the road ahead will be bumpy, but the journey will be worth it.
