Browns vs. Eagles Game Review | October 13, 2024

The 2-2 Eagles are back at Lincoln Financial Field to take on the 1-4 Browns on a beautiful day in South Philadelphia.

The Birds were on a Bye last week, but return to action with a fully healthy lineup after missing AJ Brown for three games and DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson for the loss to the Buccaneers in Week 4.

The longest-tenured Eagle, Brandon Graham, started his 200th career game today – the most in Eagles history.

  • The Eagles got the ball first and went three-and-out on a five-yard run by Saquon Barkley, followed by back-to-back incompletions intended for AJ Brown and Dallas Goedert. The Browns offense followed with a three-and-out to start the game. Center Nick Harris went down on an incompletion on 3rd and 5 and had to be carted off the field with an injury.
  • The first snap of the second drive for the Eagles went over Jalen Hurts’ head, but he was able to pick it up and throw it away before the defense could get to him. After a 4th and 1 tush-push conversion, the Eagles couldn’t make much progress and would have to punt again.
  • Goedert left the field with a hamstring injury and is doubtful to return.
  • Browns’ running back Jerome Ford left with a hamstring injury during their second drive and is questionable to return.
  • Cooper DeJean came away with his first career sack after the Eagles challenged an incomplete pass call that was overturned after Deshaun Watson’s knee hit the ground before he threw the ball.
