Bruins star shows exactly why team signed him

The Boston Bruins defeated the Calgary Flames 4-3 in overtime on Thursday evening (November 7). A hungry Flames team gave the Bruins a big challenge, but in the end the Original Six club secured the two points. A major reason for that was the play of their top stars.

Bruins center Elias Lindholm certainly played a big role in the win, as he is the main reason why superstar Brad Marchand had the opportunity to score the overtime winner.

Lindholm put a hit on Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson behind the Calgary net and forced a turnover. From there, Lindholm quickly passed the puck to Marchand, and the captain scored.

Lindholm’s foresight and playmaking ability are two big reasons why the Bruins signed him to a long-term contract this offseason. He undoubtedly showed this during the action that led to Marchand’s goal.

With this clutch assist, Lindholm now has two goals and nine points in his first fifteen games as a Bruin. He is also noticeably moving in the right direction, with four assists in his last five games.
