It’s a musical collaboration you don’t want to miss. The new single from American singer Bruno Mars and BLACKPINK member Rose Suitable was released today (October 18). A few days before the launch, Bruno Mars hinted that he was collaborating with the K-pop star for a musical project by sharing an anecdote on Instagram. The On the ground singer revealed that Rose introduced him to a “Korean drinking game.” He wrote, “So this was me hanging on for dear life after Rose introduced me to this Korean drinking game and brutalized me. Shortly afterwards she tried to kiss me, and I was like ‘woah Rosie! What part of the game is this?’ She said, ‘I’m not playing games with you anymore, little boy! Big Rosie about that BIDNESS!’. Shocked, I replied, “Stop Rosie, I’m scared!” But apart from that: a super chill evening.”

Along with the article, Bruno Mars dropped a monochrome photo with Rose. The click captures a stack of hands placed on top of each other. Bruno and Rose also participate in the hand stacking game. Commenting on the post, Rose said: “What’s wrong with uuuu.”

Rose also shared a candid photo with Bruno Mars on Instagram, teasing their new single. The photo showed the musicians with million dollar smiles. “The night I taught Bruno how to play a Korean drinking game,” the BLACKPINK star admitted. Bruno Mars commented on the post and said: “So nice! Remember when you tried to kiss me? That was weird. Except for that sick photo!”

On Thursday (October 17), Bruno Mars and Rose announced their collaboration via a joint Instagram post. “APT.︎ OCTOBER 18” read the side note. The poster next to the announcement features the silhouettes of Bruno Mars and Rose against an all-pink background. While Bruno Mars sits behind a drum kit, Rose poses in a leather jacket. The names of the artists and their latest single are also featured in large and bold letters on the poster.

Suitable marks Rose’s first release following her debut solo album Rosie. It is also the first release from Bruno Mars who collaborates with Lady Gaga on the song Die with a smile.
