WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and whether you’re new to hosting or have done it before, it can be stressful to get the meal just right. The Butterball Turkey Talk-Line is here to help you spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your loved ones.

“We have more than 50 turkey experts and they are all here willing to help callers and chefs who have questions,” said Barb Robinson, supervisor of the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line.

Robinson is one of those experts. She has been working with the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line for 17 years.

Robinson said they get hundreds of thousands of calls every year, but the most common is about thawing the turkey.

“For most chefs, this is probably the most stressful part. They don’t realize that you have to keep four kilos a day in the refrigerator. So a 20-pound turkey will take four days to thaw in the refrigerator,” Robinson said.
