Best AR gear

AMEN 85

There are a lot of great Assault Rifles to play with in Black Ops 6, but we’ve chosen to highlight the AMES 85 with this particular loadout. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision
  • Optics: Accu-Spot Reflex
  • Muzzle: Ported compensator
  • Walk: Reinforced barrel
  • Back handle: Quickdraw handle
  • Stock: Balanced stock

It’s currently a toss-up as to which AR dominates the Black Ops 6 meta, and if you take a look at our list of the best assault rifles in the game, you’ll see that we’re putting the XM4 at the top for now. However, the XM4 works very well as a beginner’s weapon, which is why we’ve placed it in a different section of this guide. For all other Assault Rifle enthusiasts, the AMES 85 is a great choice that fires bullets with real gusto.

This equipment is designed to maximize the AMES 85’s range and increase accuracy. We recommend using the Overkill Wildcard Perk when equipping this weapon, as the AMES 85 pairs very well with an SMG. Equip the AMES 85 and Jackal PDW together and you will become a real killing machine.

Best SMG gear

Jackal PDW

For now, the Jackal PDW is the reigning king of the machine gun pile. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision
  • Walk: CHF barrel
  • Underrun: Ranger handle
  • Back handle: CQB grip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Stock: Infiltrator stock

The Jackal PDW is an absolutely brutal weapon with a tremendous rate of fire that will tear apart opponents at close range. During the beta, this was the meta choice that dominated all matches, and it’s still a top choice if you like a good submachine gun.

Our guide to the best Jackal PDW gear has all the details on the ins and outs of the arrangement we’ve presented here, but in short, equipping these attachments will make you even faster and complement an aggressive playing style. Pair the Jackal PDW with an AR, equip Enforcer Perks and you’re guaranteed to stay high in the leaderboards of any multiplayer match.

Best Sniper Rifle Gear

LR 7.62

The LR 7.62 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Bolt-action sniping doesn’t get much better than the LR 7.62. Just don’t try to use this weapon in a tight hallway. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision
  • Walk: Reinforced barrel
  • Underrun: Precision handguard
  • Back handle: Quickdraw handle
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Fire mods: Rapid fire

For those who want large portrait photos, grab the 7R 7.62. This sniper rifle is slow and not suitable for small spaces, but shines exactly where a sniper rifle should excel: at long range. Sit secluded in a private corner of the map, aim with the LR 7.62 and watch the kills immediately increase.

Our gear here is designed to give a little boost to bullet speed and damage range, two factors that are essential while sniping. To compensate for the slow rechambering speed on the LR 7.62, we also used the Rapid Fire mod and an Extended Mag. If you want to further improve handling, you can also replace the Quickdraw Grip with the Ergonomic Grip to assist you in those moments when you need to quickscope.

Best LMG gear

XMG

The XMG in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

If you prefer power, the XMG fires a lot in a very short time. | Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Activision
  • Walk: Long barrel
  • Underrun: Vertical handle
  • Back handle: Quickdraw handle
  • Magazine: Fast Mag I
  • Stock: Balanced stock

Our favorite LMG is the XMG, which has a huge Mag size and blows out bullets in a non-stop stream. The

Our gear here is designed to play to the XMG’s strengths to give you a powerful class setup while also providing some gentle bumps in movement and aiming speed. Plus even more ammo, in case the XMG’s immense number of standard rounds isn’t enough for you. If you use this loadout, we recommend opting for all the Enforcer benefits and perhaps supplementing your already impressive rate of fire with an SMG like the Jackal PDW or the Tanto .22.

Best gear for beginners

XM4

  • Optics: Merlin Reflex
  • Walk: Long barrel
  • Underrun: Vertical handle
  • Back handle: Quickdraw handle
  • Stock: Heavy stock

For those just getting their feet wet with Black Ops 6’s multiplayer, or even novice Call of Duty players in general, the XM4 is a very good choice. A popular beta mainstay, the secondary weapon.

Our XM4 equipment guide contains the full explanation of all the attachments we’ve chosen here. In short, we equipped the XM4 to increase its viability on longer rangers while eliminating some of the recoil. Overall, beginners should be able to warm up well with this gear, and those who aren’t completely satisfied with other ARs like the AMES 85 and the AK-47 should be happy as well.

That completes our guide to the best loadouts in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6!
