BUIES CREEK, NC – Campbell closes the 2024 season at home on Saturday, November 23, hosting Towson. The kick-off for the CAA match is at 2 p.m.
The Senior Day game is presented by First Citizens Bank.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

Campbell University Athletics implements a clear bag policy that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried into Campbell Athletics facilities, including Barker-Lane Stadium. Fans are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new policy before arriving at the venue to minimize the time spent searching for bags at security checkpoints.
Bags that have been approved include:
• Clear tote bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that are no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• Clear 1 gallon zippered plastic bags
• Small wallets or clutches no larger than 6.5″ x 4.5″
• Medical or diaper bags must be accompanied by a child

Bags not allowed are:
• Backpacks
• Printed pattern or tinted plastic bags
• Drawstring pockets
• Fanny packs
• Camera or binocular bags
• Large wallets or bags

PEPSI TAILGATE TOWN IS BACK

Pepsi Tailgate Town are back for the 2024 season for football matchdays at Barker-Lane Stadium.

The football pregame experience, which debuted in 2023, is back and better than ever, with the same great, convenient location as last year, just outside the gates of Barker-Lane Stadium.

Before the game, come hang out with other Fighting Camels at the tailgate lots between Barker-Lane Stadium and Stadium View Apartments, where Campbell will host activities for the whole family, including food trucks, bounce houses, yard games, music and face painting. as events of local companies and organizations.

Pepsi Tailgate Town will start three hours before kick-off for all six home games in Campbell this fall and close just before kick-off.

FINAL TIMEOUT

Marcus Yarns ran for 134 yards and Nick Minicucci posted four touchdown passes, including two in the fourth quarter, to lead Delaware over visiting Campbell 41-22 at Delaware Stadium.

Delaware found the end zone on each of its first four possessions and took a 27–13 lead after Minicucci’s three-yard TD run capped a 10-play, 74-yard drive with 6:34 to go before halftime. Campbell clawed back with a 31-yard Connor Lytton field goal before halftime, set up by Brandon Guzman interception, bringing the score within 27-22 with 1:19 remaining in the third quarter Mark Biggins’ run three meters.

Entering the fourth quarter in a five-point game, Minicucci completed TD passes to Jake Thaw (17 yards) and Jojo Bermudez (38 yards) to seal the 41-22 victory. Yarns averaged 7.9 yards on 17 rushes, while Minicucci completed 16 of 26 passes for 230 yards with four touchdowns and an interception, adding 78 yards rushing with two more scores, leading Delaware to 299 yards rushing and 529 yards of total violation.

Phil Lutz hauled in four catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns, while Bermudez hauled in three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Moul made seven tackles on a pass breakup to lead the Blue Hens defensively.

VJ Wilkins totaled a career-high 172 yards and two touchdowns on five catches, while Mike Chandler II completed 16 of 31 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Mark Biggins also ran for 44 yards on 13 carries.



LEADING THE CAMELS
One of the country’s leading recipients, Sincere Brown has amassed 964 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns, a Campbell single-season record. Mike Chandler II owns a team-high 466 yards rushing with three touchdowns, and posts 983 passing yards with 11 TDs.

Defensive, Jalen Brooks has racked up a team-high 105 tackles with 7.5 stops for loss, 4.0 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and two recoveries, while Jojo Pace has tallied 84 tackles with two interceptions.



THE MATCH: TOWSON
The Tigers are 6-5 this season and sit at 4-3 in the CAA after beating North Carolina A&T 31-13 in their home finale last week.

Individually, Sean Brown has thrown for 1,818 yards and 11 touchdowns, while the duo of Devin Matthews and Tyrell Greene, Jr. have combined for 1,473 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns. Will Middleton, meanwhile, owns 79 tackles, 3.0 of which are for loss.

The first ever meeting between the Camels and Tigers will take place on Saturday.



BROWN AT ALMOST 1,000 MARKS, SET CU SEASON TD RECORD
With 964 receiving yards on the season, Campbell went wide Sincere Brown is on track to reach the 1,000 mark. The Charleston, SC native would become only the third Camel to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season, joining Caleb Snoad (1,067 in 2021) and Aaron Blockmon (1,038 in 2016). He is currently third on Campbell’s single-season receiving yards list.

Against Richmond, Brown broke ties with Blockmon and Snead for the single-season receiving touchdown record, and now has 11 on the year.



CAMELS CROSSING TOUCHDOWNS RECORD
With 23 passing touchdowns on the year, Campbell is just shy of the program single-season record of 24, recorded in 2021. This marks the fourth time the Camels have recorded 20 or more passing touchdowns in a season all-time (21 in 2017, 20 in 2023).



CAMELS SCHEDULE AMONG FCS’ TOUGHEST
In his second season in the Coastal Athletic Conference, Campbell again faces one of the toughest games in the FCS, finishing 10th according to NCAA.org.

Richmond was Campbell’s third opponent of the season, going 1-2 against the top 25 foes this year. The Spiders were also CU’s eighth opponent this season that is currently or has been in the top 25, including Liberty (FBS). Delaware, now 9-1 overall and 6-1 in CAA play, is unranked due to its move to the FBS next season. Southern Illinois has the toughest road ahead of the FCS, while North Carolina A&T plays the toughest schedule in the CAA and is ranked fifth overall.



BROOKS HAS A CENTURY MARKET
In his first season as a Camel, linebacker Jalen Brooks has become just the third Campbell defender to reach 100 or more tackles in a season, entering the 2024 finals with 105 stops. Brooks falls just shy of Justice Galloway-Velasquez’s record for total stops of 111, set in 2019. Jack Ryan also posted 103 tackles in 2017.

Brooks recorded a game-high 12 tackles and added a forced fumble and a pass breakup at Delaware, reaching double figures for the third time this season.



WILKINS BIG DAY IN DELAWARE

VJ Wilkins collected five catches for a career-high 172 yards with two touchdowns for the Camels in Delaware. Wilkins hauled in TD passes of 75 and 66 yards in Saturday’s first half. It was the third time this season that a Camel had two scores of 50 or more yards in the same game, and the fifth time in program history.
