    One of the most important events in the boxing world is about to unfold as famed Mexican boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez prepares to enter the ring for a high-stakes bout against undefeated Edgar Berlanga. The Mexican Independence Day weekend showdown will take place on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

    Canelo Alvarez, with a record of 61-2-2 and 39 KOs, is a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world, most recently coming by unanimous decision over fellow Mexican fighter Jaime Munguia in May. However, the upcoming bout will not involve the IBF title, as Canelo was stripped of his IBF super middleweight title in July.
