Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are ending their engagement just a year after they made plans to tie the knot.

The 44-year-old Magic Mike star and the 35-year-old Batman actress recently split, sources told People on Tuesday.

The couple started dating after Channing starred in Zoë’s directorial debut, the thriller Blink Twice.

Representatives for both actors have not yet commented on the reported split.

The split came as a particular shock to the couple because not only were they engaged, but Channing was spotted in September with fresh ink of Zoe’s initials on the back of his hand.

The former couple was last pictured together on Channing’s Instagram page in a September 3 post, in which Zoë apparently napped on her then-fiancé’s shirtless chest as he took a selfie of the two.

In his caption, the Deadpool & Wolverine actor serenaded his love while promoting her thriller Blink Twice.

“This little candy. She’s so tired, brother. Every time I wondered if she would break…. “She just kept going and going and going,” he said. ‘Always looking for the truth. She put every ounce of her into this film. I’m so proud to stand ten toes in front of her, this film and everyone in it. forever. Knowing what it took to make it. No one will ever know.’

He ended on a sweet note, adding, “Thank you for finding me and seeing me. I have you forever. Me and you back to back against all this. I will never blink. Let’s go.’

The last in-person sighting of the former A-list couple appears to have been earlier this month, on October 6, when they were spotted on a date night at a production of the play Picture Day at Coffey Street Studio in Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood.

The two were there to support her Blink Twice actor Levon Hawke, who made his directorial debut with the show.

At the time, a source told People that the couple looked “fun and cute together” as they hung out with Levon and his sister, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke, before heading to a bar to party with the cast and crew.

“Channing and Zoe held hands and seemed very comfortable together, and they settled into their relationship,” the source said. “They were affectionate, but not overly PDA or anything. They were so cool and chill. They were impressed by how intellectual the piece was.”

Although Zoë showed off her engagement ring during production, it has been a different story in recent weeks.

Last week, she reunited for a night out in New York City with her Big Little Lies costar Shailene Woodley, but her engagement ring appeared to be missing during the outing.

Zoë and Channing could be in for a tricky 2025, as Deadline reported earlier on Tuesday that they had both been added to the cast of the upcoming alien invasion comedy Alpha Gang.

Cate Blanchett had already been announced as star and producer of the film, which is being directed by the Zellner brothers, but Channing and Zoë now complete the cast, along with Dave Bautista, Riley Keough, Steven Yeun and French star Léa Seydoux.

The comedy follows a group of invading aliens disguised as humans and dressed as members of a 1950s motorcycle gang, although their attempts to conquer the planet are threatened when they begin to develop human emotions and consciences.

Earlier on Tuesday, Channing reposted the article to his Instagram Stories, though he made no allusion to reports of his breakup.

Before Zoë began their relationship three years ago, she had just divorced her first husband, actor Karl Glusman, while Channing had only recently finalized his divorce from Jenna Dewan.

The former couple share an 11-year-old daughter, Everly.

The rumors reached a fever pitch in September of that year, when the two left the Met Gala in Manhattan together, although they did not walk the red carpet together earlier in the evening.

By Halloween, the two had gone official with their romance.

They opted for playful matching costumes inspired by Martin Scorsese’s classic film Taxi Driver to cement their relationship status, with Channing dressed as Robert De Niro’s character, while Zoë was a dead ringer for Jodie Foster’s abused child prostitute.
