Chappell Roan Confronts Photographer at Olivia Rodrigo’s Movie Premiere: ‘Apologize’

Chappell Roan snapped at a photographer on the red carpet for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts World Tour” movie premiere in Los Angeles on Friday, claiming he had been “disrespectful” to her at a previous event.

As you pose on the step-and-repeat, the message “Good Luck, Babe!” The singer walked up to the photographer’s face and said, “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys.” You yelled at me at a Grammy party.

The person was not seen on camera, but he appeared to disagree with Roan’s account of events.

‘Yes… I remember. You were so rude to me,” the “Hot To Go!” said the singer, who wore a beautiful red dress and her signature drag makeup.

‘I need an apology for that. Yes, yes, you do. …. You need to apologize to me.”

A member of Roan or the film’s PR team then approached the “Pink Pony Club” singer to escort her back to the step-and-repeat and attempt to diffuse the situation.

Roan granted the request, but said she was not going to pose for the photographer in question.

Page Six reached out to its representatives for comment but did not immediately hear back.

This is the second altercation in less than two months that the “Femininomenon” has had with a photog.

In September, she yelled at another cameraman at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

“Shut up,” the 26-year-old singer of “After Midnight” said aggressively at the time. ‘Don’t. Not me, bitch.”

It’s unclear what exactly caused Roan to do so, but she told Entertainment Tonight shortly afterwards that she found the carpet “overwhelming” and “scary.”

“I think for someone who experiences a lot of fear when people shout at you, the carpet is horrifying, and I shouted back. I yelled back, you can’t yell at me like that,” she added.

Roan has been open about her mental health struggles due to her newfound fame.

The “Casual” singer shared in late September that she had been diagnosed with severe depression.

“I went to a psychiatrist last week because I thought: I don’t know what’s going on. “She diagnosed me with severe depression – which I didn’t think I had because I’m not really sad,” she told the Guardian.

“But I have all the symptoms of someone who is severely depressed.”

Roan explained at the time that everything she loved to do before she became famous now comes with “baggage.”

“If I want to start saving, I have to get security and prepare myself that this won’t be normal,” the “Naked in Manhattan” singer said.

“Going to the park, pilates, yoga – how do I do that safely, without being stalked or harassed?”

Roan’s problems have also caused her to call out her own fans and cancel several shows, which led to mixed reactions from the audience, with some criticizing her and others understanding her struggles.
