INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Chargers running back JK Dobbins suffered a knee injury during the second quarter of Monday night’s game against his former team, the Baltimore Ravens, and did not return.

Dobbins had 40 yards on six carries before he was hurt. The Ravens drafted Dobbins in the 2020 second round, but he missed most of two seasons due to injuries.

He signed a one-year contract with the Chargers this offseason.

Dobbins entered the game ranked third in the AFC with 726 yards rushing and averaged 4.8 yards per carry. He is considered a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in last season’s opener.
