Charlotte Dawson has announced she is expecting her third child with fiancé Matthew Sarsfield, just weeks after their relationship was rocked by a sexting scandal.

The 31-year-old reality star has been together with the 32-year-old rugby league player for eight years, but was left feeling hurt and humiliated when he discovered he had been sending intimate messages to another woman two weeks ago.

After this, Matthew moved back to his parents’ house, but he begged Charlotte to give their relationship another chance.

The couple have a one-year-old son, Jude, and a three-year-old son, and are ‘considering relationship counselling’ with the Swinton Lions player, who now lives with the family.

Charlotte has now revealed that she is expecting her ‘surprise’ third child with Matthew and hopes another baby will make him ‘a better man’.

Sharing the news, they told OK! Magazine: ‘It’s been a crazy time… horrible, dealing with the grief, the pain, and also being pregnant.’

“Noah asked where daddy was and I don’t want a broken home. I want to do what’s best for my kids. Matthew says he’ll do everything he has to make this work. But I haven’t made a decision about the future of our engagement. He needs to change

“It would be great to have a girl – for Matthew too. I think he’ll be a better man if he’s a girl dad, but we’ll see.”

Charlotte remembered just a few days ago the horrifying moment she discovered that her fiancé Matthew had been sexting another woman.

She spoke out for the first time on her My Naughty Corner podcast, saying: “I don’t understand why he did this, it drives me crazy because he has everything. He doesn’t want to lose his family over this.”

The TV personality was on her way to the hairdressers to meet Matthew when she received a call from her manager telling her that he had betrayed her.

“My whole world fell apart, I was so shocked. I felt really shocked, hurt and disappointed. His family was really shocked by him,” she said.

The reality star said she sat there shaking and was unable to reach her mother and sister on the phone, while Charlotte’s manager Matthew called to tell him the news.

Just a few days ago, Charlotte recalled the devastating moment she found out her fiancé Matthew had been having sex with another woman

She recalled: ‘He called me and said, “Please talk to me.” I said, “I’m done.” He said he was drunk and begged me not to leave him.’

Charlotte said Matthew met the blonde woman through rugby, when he played on the team with her ex. They messaged each other on Instagram.

She said, “I saw the message that they are not nice, it really hurt.”

The mother of two admitted that their relationship has been strained over the past two years.

She said: ‘We haven’t had a good relationship for the last two years, but that’s no excuse. Children come in the middle of a relationship. It hasn’t been good for a while.

It’s hard to experience that intimate time that was so enormous.’

Charlotte said she sometimes turned down sex because she was exhausted from raising their two young children.

She added that the lack of intimacy between them was “no excuse” for his actions.

A few days after the scandal broke, their son Jude celebrated his first birthday and Charlotte made the heartbreaking decision to tell Matthew to stay away.

“It was horrible, horrible,” she said. “I’m not going to cancel his birthday party, like I just said to him, ‘I don’t think you should come to his birthday.’

“He clearly decided on his own not to come.”

Matthew now lives with his parents and begs Charlotte to take him back.

“He’s completely devastated. He doesn’t seem like himself at all. He’s really upset, but rightfully so. He hurt his family. The question is, can I forgive and forget,” she said.

“I need to disconnect from all the background noise. I don’t want this to affect Noah at daycare. He keeps saying ‘when is daddy coming home?’

“He literally ripped my heart out and stepped on it. He tries to make it up to me every day.”

She spoke out for the first time on her My Naughty Corner podcast, saying: ‘I don’t understand why he did it, it drives me crazy because he has everything. He doesn’t want to lose his family’

Charlotte added: ‘The last few weeks have been really, really tough. It’s a huge shock because I never expected him to do this. I thought we were a little family.’

The reality star said she still hasn’t decided whether to forgive Matthew and give their relationship another chance.

She said with tears in her eyes, ‘I feel like he doesn’t love me, it drives me crazy when I think about it.

“I still love him, but I don’t know where I stand.”
