Chicago Marathon 2024 live stream and TV coverage times for Sunday’s race

More than 50,000 runners will participate in the 46th annual Chicago Marathon on Sunday morning. The race starts shortly after 7am and spectator access to Grant Park opens at 9:30am

NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo will provide live TV coverage of the race from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. NBC’s livestream of the marathon is below:

Other options to watch the race include the NBC 5 Chicago and Telemundo apps. The livestream coverage will last until 3 p.m

Runners will start in a series of waves between 7:20 AM and 8:35 AM. The weather on Sunday morning is expected to be partly sunny with highs in the 50s.

The top finishers are expected to complete the 26.2-mile course in just over two hours. Kelvin Kiptum set the world record and set the world record at the 2023 Chicago Marathon with an official time of 2:00.35. Kiptum died earlier this year in a car accident in his native Kenya.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon returns to the city on Sunday for the 46th edition of the race.

From the first Chicago Marathon to Sunday’s race, Mueller and Burt are the only two runners to compete and complete all 45 marathons. Despite their age, both have a goal of completing 50 consecutive Chicago Marathons.

For Pendergrass, the marathon Sunday is about honoring her brother, Grant DeHoogh, who died of a drug overdose in 2021 at the age of 26.
