CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago rapper Lil Durk was charged with a murder plot.

Chicago’s Lil Durk, Durk Banks, was arrested in Florida on Thursday evening. The plot is said to target the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, who was murdered in 2022.

This comes hours after five people linked to his music company were also charged in the case.

Investigators believe it was in retaliation for the earlier murder of Chicago rapper King Von. Von was killed in an early morning shooting outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, authorities said.
