Defending champion Coco Gauff came back from a set down to win her US Open third-round match against Elina Svitolina on Friday.

The American struggled to distinguish herself in a very exciting opening set, but managed to raise her level as the match progressed, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and maintaining her title defense.

Arthur Ashe Stadium rose to its feet to applaud Gauff after she finally secured match point, a stark contrast to the nervous energy around the famed court after the 20-year-old initially fell behind.
